  Reverand John Goerge Casto(e) Hi Cindy, John George Casto(e) is my G-G-Grandfather. I never knew him but he must have been very interesting. A distant "cousin" tells me that he preached a sermon the Sunday before he died. I have a photo of his wife's grave (at least I'm told that is her grave). She is in the little cemetery at Witts Springs, Ark. He was supposed to have been a missionary in (I believe) what is now Cherokee county, KS. His work was the Cherokee Indians in that area. His wife was at least half Cherokee & maybe more. Helen Tresner , Oct. 2008 |
