Henry C Fisher
Henry C Fisher, 80, died at his home near Frisco Wednesday evening after
a long illness

He is survived by two foster sons, Joe and Herman Shirley of Benton.

Funeral Services will be held Friday afternoon at Frisco.  The Mitchell
Funeral Home has charge of the body.

Henry C Fisher, 80 year old Northern Township farmer, died Wednesday
evening at his home in Frisco.  His wife Laura Fisher, preceded him in
death several years ago.  He is survived by two nephews, Herman and Joe
Shirley, who had made their home with him since babyhood.  He also
leaves one brother, Thomas Fisher, of Moore's Prairie, Jefferson County,
Illinois.  Burial services will take place at the Thurmond Cemetery
Friday afternoon.

James Douglas Fisher
Mr. James Douglas Fisher, son of James and Sarilda Fisher was born in
Moore's Prairie township, Jefferson county, December 25, 1862 died
February 18, 1935, age 72 years, one month and 24 days.

J D Fisher was married to Miss Allice Taylor, daughter of James and
Emaline Tucker, September 1, 1881.  To this union eight children were
born, Cora, Jessie and Minnie all three deceased.  Cora and Jessie
living to become married women before death.  Hattie Bats of Ewing,
Frank of Benton, Elzie of Alton, Lon of Bonnie, and Vernie at home with
her mother.  Also leaves 22 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

J D Fisher professed religion in 1893 and was baptized and joined the
church at old Birkhead School house, and remaining a member as long as
the church remained.  When the building was removed he never moved his
membership else where.  He told his son-in-law Thomas Duncan of Missouri
a few months past that he was ready to die at any time.

J D Fisher having worked in the store for Mr. M A Webb of Frisco,
afterwards ran a general store for himself which gave him a chance to
meet a great many people and later having been elected highway
commissioner, and supervisor of Moore's Prairie township enlarged his
acquaintance to a large number of friends which once gained always
remained.

No kinder husband, father or neighbor has lived in this neighborhood.
