Sarah Taylor Pearson
Sarah Taylor Pearson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Benjamin Lovin, was born
in Hopkinsville, KY, on March 16, 1856, and passed away at the home of
her daughter, Mrs. George Hill, at Whittington, on October 16, 1933, at
the age of 77 years, seven months and one day.

She moved from her native state with her parents to Jefferson county,
Illinois, to what is known as Moore's Prairie, where she lived some 50
years.

About 45 years ago Mrs. Pearson professed the Christian belief at the
Oak Grove Missionary Baptist church, where she remained a true and loyal
member.

On March 16, 1873, she was married to William N Pearson and to this
union were born seven children. One infant and her husband preceded her
in death.  The children surviving are:  Delia Koons and Charley Pearson
of Mt Vernon;  Ella Mae Hill and Howard Pearson of Whittington;  Frank
Pearson of Ohio, and Hebern Pearson of Rochelle, Ill.  Seventeen
grandchildren and three great grandchildren also survive.
