The Differentiated ClassroomA differentiated classroom tries to give the individual what they need so that they can learn the most they possibly can in a school year.
Ways that I differentiate my classroom:
I match homework to student need whenever possible.
In reading, every student has their own folder pertaining to their specific reading level.
Everyone is taught the same lesson in math. Students that are confused about how to do the work are given one on one time while those that find the work easy are given higher level work.
Students write their own questions to investigate in math, science and social studies and then share their work. This gives each individual a chance to explore their interest and gives students an array of concepts to learn about.
Students are given options on how they want to present a project so that it is most helpful to their learning style.
