MT. WASHINGTON CEMETERY
LENAPAH, NOWATA COUNTY, OKLAHOMA
This cemetery is on a high hill, well as high as they get in this part of Oklahoma. This cemetery is well cared for. But the Oklahoma winds and sun pound down on this final resting place everyday and yet, it has a most beautiful view, all around this peaceful place.
John and I took these pictures September 11, 2006.
While the rest of the people in this country today are still trying to heal from what happened 5 years ago. I think this helped John and I deal with one of this nations worst tragedies. Finding our family and putting them back together again seems to helps us with our healing process.....

Amanda was born in Illinois. She was married to William Alexander Franklin.
Children of WILLIAM FRANKLIN and AMANDA MATHEWS are:
EMMA FRANKLIN... ALBERT NEWTON FRANKLIN...WILLIAM RILEY FRANKLIN...JAMES FRANKLIN...ROBERT MARION FRANKLIN...MARY JANE FRANKLIN...and... JOHN CHARLES FRANKLIN.
According to Carl Franklin (a Grandson), she is buried next to William A. Franklin at Mt. Washington Cem, west of Lenapah, Okla. in a grave which has no headstone.
