WELCOME TO THE WEBSITE OF
THE SOUTHERN SONS OF
CORNWALL
The
Southern Sons of Cornwall Inc. is an active Cornish Association whose members
mostly live on the South Coast and Southern Highlands of NSW.
Our
logo of a Cornish engine house represents the Cornish under the Southern Cross.
The
wording Mebyon Kernow y'n Soth means Sons of Cornwall in the South in the
Cornish language.
The
association was first formed in 1998, originally as a branch of the Cornish
Association of New South Wales, with just two members, but when the first
gathering was held 28 people attended.
In
2003 is was decided to secede from the Cornish Association of NSW, mainly
because of distance from Sydney

From
the President:
On behalf of the members of the Southern Sons of
Cornwall Inc., I would like to offer you and your family a warm welcome to our
Association.
While we are by many standards a small
organization, you will find that we are a highly respected member of the Cornish
Associations, not only here in Australia, but also internationally.
We look forward to welcoming you at our meetings
and outings, where you will find a great bunch of people, many, but not all,
with Cornish ancestry, but all with an abiding interest in Cornwall and all
things Cornish.
Meetings/Outings
Are held on the
last Sunday of the even month (Feb, April etc.)
Our Annual General
Meeting is always held in the latter part of February
