In grateful appreciation for the opportunity to have met this gentleman for ever so brief a moment in time.
This site created by him, is maintained by the caretaker in his memory and honor.
Godfrey Harold Hardy
1877 - 1947
The mathematician's patterns, like the painter's or the poet's,
must be beautiful; the ideas, like the colours or the words, must
fit together in a harmonious way. Beauty is the first test: there is no
permanent place in the world for ugly mathematics.

Art
Mathematics may become
art as witnessed by Kelly images.
Computer Science
HTML Coding - The music section is an example of an HTML
table as are the tables in The Decision Table section.
An application of frames will be found in Newton's Method
Computation - Newton's Method will be found in the Mathematics section
Genealogy
The Ingalls/Buyea/Kilts/Moot genealogical file in the form of
ingalls.ged can be found. The file is quite long with approximately 5000 individuals in 1700 families. The file was last updated in 1999. It is suggested that you save it to disk and use a text editor to open it. If you open it on-line Family Tree Maker will try to open it if you have it installed.
The History of the Ingalls Family begins with Buyea
family which lived on the south-west corner of Lot 27 of
The 1802 land purchase.
Later the Ingalls family lived on the north- west corner of
Buyea and Eddy Road.
As the children grew up they purchased farms along
Creek Road where they prospered for 100 years.
An important source of information can be Family
Bible. The Kilts Bible
is a record of the Joseph (James,Sr, Joseph) Ingalls and
Mary (Nicholas, Conrad) Kilts family. In addition to members of
their union the Bible may have been used to record additional
information. It is of interest to note that entries use the
Ingols spelling and the early entries are exactly the same
as 1850 US Census, Town of Lenox, Madison County, NY, visit 323.
This would be a location on Creek Road.

Application of Newton's method to
the study of (x+3)(x+2)...(x-2)(x-3) = 0. This requires a browser
that will support frames. A non-frame
version is also available for Version 2.0 of browsers.
Music
The Two and Three part Inventions of Johann Sebastian
Bach in MIDI format. This is an example
of the use of a table. A browser that supports playing of MIDI
files is required.
Physics
Apparent depth in optics. The
question of where an object is located in a medium by an observer is
interesting. Subtle errors occur in physics references. If one places
a square block of plastic or glass along a straight line and
views two objects, side by side, one through the material and
one through the air at the same time one sees that the object viewed
through the material appears to be closer than the object viewed
through the air.
Psychology
Choices and decisions can be made using a programmer's
tool -
The Decision Table
Flow charts containing multiple decisions can be reduced to
a single table. The decision table can be extended to artificial
intelligence applications if the certainty of an entry is not
unity.
The Johari Window is a concept
developed by the psychologists, Joe Luft and Harry Ingham. Most
of us present differing aspects of ourselves to different people.
