The first scene is when I moved the house to where it is today. I built the house myself using trees that I cut and sawed myself. I took some time building it since I wanted it to look rustic. I did not take any pains to make anything look modern.
I began placing items on the side of the house when I painted the American Flag on the East end during the Christmas holidays in 2002. I used that end of the house because it faces the flight pattern for a local helicopter staging field. Then I began to find the signs that had been laying around the house for a while. Some of these came from my dad, some came from scrounging and others from friends. The tags are from various friends of mine who donated their personal tags that had been removed from their vehicles.
I tried not to buy any more items than necessary. Some of the stuff I picked up at the dump. I also have this knack for spotting things alongside the highway. My wife says I can spot a tie down strap in the grass at a 100 paces doing 80 miles an hour. I can also stop on a dime when I see one. Here you see my "wall of tags." My mostest favorite is right in the middle. Grouch sent me that one all the way from Tennessee. The American flag is my pride and joy. The flag is painted on the building. It is a real one. More signs and even a couple of thermometers adorn this end of the house.
Here is where I work, and, where I rest. I have everything laid out in a semi-circle so I can utilize all three sides of the room. When I am tired I just lower the attic ladder, scoot up the steps and off to snoozey land I go. Baby is with me of course.
More shots of the interior. Just think of it as a home away from home. It is very peaceful and quiet. I have everything but running water and just have not had time for that yet. I need a refridgerator in case any of you have a small one to donate. I also need another desktop since my old one is historic now.
