In Joel's letter, he speaks of Joshua Denny b.1778 (son of Azariah Denney - Sally Wise Felton). He knew nothing much of him except that he supposedly married a Jane Watkins and went to SC. This line stayed dead and in the past few years I have had queries about his lineage thus it sparked my interest.
Beverly Denney Barrington and Donald Panther Yates both claim to descend from a Joshua Denney, thus I have began to use their data to build up Joshua's line. The gathered facts appear to support the theory that their Joshua is in fact the same Joshua, son of Azariah, thus I present in my data what I think Joshua's line looks like at the present. Perhaps it may generate more interest by being posted on the Web.

There is a Samuel Denny that resided in Wayne County, KY who died in 1807. Many researchers tend to try and mix this Samuel and his numerous descendants in Wayne County, KY in with our Samuel Denny. There is thought that he may actually be a son of our Samuel but Joel never mentioned him in his letter. Of course, that does not rule him out as being a son, we have not located many of his children. Based on naming practices, I would say that he perhaps is a nephew to our Samuel
