This stone is badly worn but reads: Lemuel Preston died Sept 6, 1870, Aged 44 years, 3 months, 25 days. I'm not sure what the engravings at the top and bottom are.

These two young children died on the same day. If any one has heard a story of what happened to them I would be very interested in hearing it.
The inscription at the Bottom reads: "Here side by side our darlings sleep, Since God has called we will not weep."

Note the Mispelling of his name - there is an extra E after the first O. Apparently Sarah, his second wife, was intended to be buried next to him, but she ended up being buried in the Westcott plot in Clarendon.
