Snow fell the day before our visit and the day after. At 6,000 feet high, Pioche is a secluded mountain town with enough old buildings yet standing to provide a sense of its past. We picked up brochures at the Chamber of Commerce and toured the Lincoln County Museum. After a walk through town past the Million Dollar Courthouse, we headed for Boot Hill where we copied some gravestone data and took photos. This page includes the data we copied from 12 gravestones and 4 wooden markers. These are but a small sample of the burials in the cemetery.
