of Coleman County, Texas
Mt. View Cemetery is located approximately 10 miles northwest of the City of Coleman off of U.S. Highway 84 at the foot of Robinson's Peak. The property on which the cemetery sits was donated by George William Baker to be used as a school. The school was located there for many years and, as was the custom in the late 19th century, was also used as a church. The donation designated the property as being six acres of land and the school was located at the west end of the property. Mt. View. Mt.
