E-mail link

Yes, I know this is strange. I've discovered a way to eliminate spam and this is a part of the plan.

On the subject line of your message enter the words "new contact", or your message will end up in my deleted file (see below).

I do occasionally take a cursory look at these messages before I empty the deleted file but that is no guarantee that I will catch your message at all; and for sure your message will not be answered promptly.

My spam blocking system

I am using Outlook Express.
My system requires no special programs, downloads, or ad ons, and seems to be working fine.
If you wish to do this it is a four step operation.

1. Create a new file named "New Inbox" (or one of your choosing). Your original inbox will not work for this.

2. Create a new mesage rule:

Click on "tools", message rules, mail, new.
In box 1, Click the box "where the from line contains people"
In box 3, click the words "contains people"
In the new window that appears, click on "address book", and choose those people you wish to receive mail from, and then clicking the "from" button. It may be that you wish to receive mail from everyone in your address book or you may choose this time to go through your address book and delete those you do not know or recall. Before deleting them however you might want to contact them and see if they recall you and wish to reintroduce themselves to you.
In the window "new mail rule", box two choose "copy it to the specified folder"
in box 3 click on the words "specified folder" and (as above) choose "New Inbox".

This will put mail from everyone you choose to recieve mail from into your "new inbox".

3. Create a second new rule:

Using the pattern above, create a new rule that "where the subject line contains specific words"
choose the words you wish. I have chosen the words "new contact".
"copy it to the specified folder" (new inbox).

4. Create a third rule:

"For all messages", "delete it from the server"

Now,
1. Messages from anyone you have designated will be copied to your "new inbox" folder.
2. Messages which contain in the subject line "new contact" will go to the "new inbox" folder as well.
3. All messages that have gone to your original inbox, including those copied to "new inbox", will be deleted, but of course a copy was saved to your "new inbox", which was not deleted.

Works very well and every time. The downside, of course, is the posibility that you may miss new contacts who don't know the rules for contacting you. This is why all my website email links point to this page.

My email groups

I have several e-mail groups listed below.
Their purpose is to inform people interested in the subjects listed of changes in the latest information that I have.

If you would like to be a part of one of these groups please let me know and I will add your name.
Replies, comments and questions are, of course, more than welcome.
