Tim Gatewood's
Civil War Links
Updated Monday, July 15, 2013
Stephanie Harris, a teacher from Massachusetts, recently pointed out a broken link on this page and offered the following link to replace it:
This appears to be a great place to start, much better than the Sons of Confederate Veterans FAQ page which I had here before.
(Also,
as I left the SCV years ago for various reasons, I am not linking to
their sites any longer. Feel free to google them, though,
if you want to see what information they have made available from their webpages. )
THANK YOU, Ms. Harris !!
Several years ago, Al Noblin,
a distant cousin of mine, forwarded to me a long list of Civil War sites
that he received from one of his email correspondents. If you are like
me, you have probably not visited more than a few of these. As a service
to the interested public, I have created this page to make it easier to
visit those Civil War sites. Just click on the http addresses shown and
you should go there immediately.
If you discover any problems with these
links or have any comments on this site, please let me know by emailing
me at .
(Please note: that is not a link; it is an image created to cut down on
spam - you will need to type the email address shown into your email
program's To line in order to email me.)
- The U.S. Civil War Center - Louisiana
State University is a great starting point. They have tons of info, databases,
and links. http://www.cwc.lsu.edu/
