Pat & Brenda would like to introduce you to their new son, Jacob.
Jacob Cal Abeyta

Jacob came to us Monday night, Jan. 29. 2001 at 11 p.m. He weighed in at 7lbs. 8 oz. and was 20 1/2" long. He had cord wrapped tightly around his neck, but came through wonderfully with an apgar of 8 & 9. He has a head full of dark hair and deep blue eyes.

Jacob is my 8th child. After having 4 shoulder dystocia babies, 3 of which were homebirths, and expecting Jake to be larger than he was we opted for a hospital birth. With the 6 hospital personnel we had a total of 14 people present for the birth. Aunt Tami flew in from PA, Auntie Ter, Miss Mary, Shannon(my lay midwife/friend),
two of my daughters, Tara and Breana, Myself (HA!) and Pat! (He actually beat us to the hospital twice, and then told us we weren't in Labor & Delivery! Remember he said he would be in a 50 mile radius when the time came!)
