On the fifth day of September 1878, letters of administration of the personal estate of Elizabeth Betton late of Pennerley in the county of Salop, deceased, who died on the twenty first day of august 1878 at Pennerley aforesaid - a widow and intestate were granted by Her Majesty's high Court of Justice in the District Registry attached to the probate Division thereof at Shrewsbury to John Betton of Pennerley aforsaid, miner, one of the natural and lawful children and one of the next of kin of the said deceased, he having been first sworn duly to administer.
